If I Were...

Saw this here & had to join in the fun.  You know I'm always looking for a good reason to make a list.  :)

If I were a month, I'd be November.  Nice fall/winter weather, all the excitement of Thanksgiving & Christmas & still time to savor the good food, music, shopping, etc.  And the perfect time of year to wear lots of boots & scarves! Speaking of boots, I think I want some slouchy boots...something sort of like this, but less cowboy...& either flat or a real heel.  I don't like those wannabe heels.  I just want something that I can wear with a dress or leggings but doesn't have to fit tight to my legs because I can't ever find any that fit my foot & my leg.  Anybody seen anything like this that's not too pricey? [Sorry for the boot tangent there...]

If I were a day of the week, I'd be Sunday.  I just love everything about Sundays.

If I were a time of day, I'd be sunset.  I don't love getting up early, but I'll do it for a pretty sunset.  And it's such great thinking time.

If I were a planet I'd be Pluto.  Because I don't think it's fair that Pluto is told he's (I feel like planets should be male) a planet for so many years & then has it snatched away from him.  I still believe in you, Pluto...stand strong.

If I were a sea animal, I'd be a whale.  I was a big fan of Willy & he probably needs more whale friends.

If I were a direction, I'd be either east or west.  I feel like they're in more songs.

If I were a piece of furniture, I'd be a window seat.  I always wanted one & imagine I'd sit in it with the sun shining in & just read all day long.

If I were a liquid, I'd be strawberry limeade or maybe a peppermint mocha.  (I needed to pick both a summer & a winter beverage.)

If I were a gemstone, I'd be a diamond.  I mean...why not?

If I were a tree, I'd be a weeping willow.  Ever since Pocahontas, I wanted one...I'm no tree expert so I don't know if this is possible, but I'd like to hang a swing or a hammock under one so it'd be like you were sitting under there reading in a tent.

If I were a flower, I'd be a poppy.  I just think a field of poppies is so pretty.  Like this.  Not so much like this.

If I were a kind of weather, I'd be rainy.  Because I feel like people are always down about rainy days...I'd change their reputation.

If I were a musical instrument, I'd be a violin because it can be either a violin or a fiddle just depending on the music that's played.  [little known fact: I went to a Josh Groban concert & Alison Krauss concert in the same month in high school & almost bought a violin on ebay just because...]

If I were a color, I'd be blue because there are so many different shades that can convey different emotions.  Blue can definitely be happy, or sad, or bubbly, or...the possibilities are endless.

If I were an emotion, I'd be passionate.  Because you can be happy or mad, but either way...be strong in what you're feeling & have a good reason for it.

If I were a fruit, I'd be a mango.  Just because I love them.

If I were an element I'd be helium.  It's on the top right of the periodic table, so it's not claustrophobic in the middle somewhere...& also gravity wouldn't really be in my way then.

If I were a food I'd be guacamole. Can't ever have too much.

If I were a place I'd be a river.  They're wild & adventurous, but also calm & relaxing.  And no matter what they encounter, they just keep going.

If I were a material, I'd be some really funky fabric.

If I were a scent, I'd be Christmas.  You know?  That warm, homey smell.

If I were an animal, I'd be my cat.

If I were a facial expression, I'd be overjoyed.

If I were a pair of shoes, I'd be some great heels.
