inspired thoughts for today {1}

I have a thing about words.  I always have.  I can remember even when I was little...I would watch Anne of Green Gables & just love the way Anne spoke with such eloquence.  But even more than eloquence, she spoke her heart at all times.

Since middle school probably I've had a "quote book"...just journals that I jotted things in...Bible verses, something I read in a book or heard in a sermon, favorite movie quotes, song lyrics, or even just funny things my friends said.

I love looking back at those because I can remember what was going on in my life during those particular times.  I can tell what I was learning through those jotted down words.  I can see what God was teaching me.  I can see the effects of those lessons today.

So, I wanted a new outlet for that...& also want to see some of your favorites.  What's something you've read or heard that God is using to speak to you today?

So...inspired thoughts for today...& just get ready, I may become addicted to this.  Link up if you'd like...I'd love to hear some of the wisdom God is pouring into your life.

"Biblical love is an act of the will accompanied by emotion that leads to action on behalf of its object." -Voddie Baucham

I love this.  So many times we think that love is an emotion, rather than a choice that is accompanied by an emotion.  Whether we're talking about a (future) spouse like Voddie was discussing here, or a friend that is just hard to love some days...love is a verb.  It is something we can choose to do or not to do.  And Jesus always chose love.

So choose love today.
