Addi Kay

first, let me let you in on a little secret.  people tell me all the time that my 7-year-old cousin Addi Kay is just like I was at her age.  and I smile & say thanks...but on the inside, I'm so much more thrilled than that smile can even convey.  she is so fun & creative & crafty & has such a sweet spirit.  she understands so much more than I did at that age & truly knows Jesus.

so, that being said, I had to share these videos.  I went over to their house to keep two of her younger siblings while they went to her Christmas program at school.  when I got there, I was asking if she had a part in the program..."yes, child 3 & child 5."  so she started reciting her parts of a poem for me.  and...um, wow.  turns out, child 5 had the flu so Addi Kay just told her teacher that she'd do her part because she already knew it anyway.

disclaimer: don't think I'd ever videoed on my phone before...so it's sideways...oops.

and of course, school programs tend to bring out a little hyper-ness...so when she returned home & wanted to borrow my phone, I got it back with this lovely video.

okay, sorry if my bragging & phone videos bored you...but I just love her :)

P.S. I got to stay home with these two & Abel let me watch all the Charlie Brown Christmas movies (see Lucy's hair on the screen?)!  love that boy.
