Virtual Coffee

Joining in at Lucky Number 13 for Virtual Coffee again this week.

This time last week, I was feeling so discouraged.

And let me say this {again}, your {yes you} encouragement was so wonderful for me.  It was just what I needed to pick me up that day.

This morning, I met with a friend that I haven't seen in probably two years.  She works for a non-profit organization & I asked if we could just get together & talk about how she got her job, advice, etc.  This was the best thing I could've done.  She was encouraging.  Her heart is so very much like mine.  She knew what she wanted to do, but didn't know how.
So...still no job, but I think I have what I need for now: a life plan.  Not something I'm ready to commit to enough to detail here yet, but soon...

Annnnd...I just got a call that I have a part-time job for now...until I find something that I like better.  And I will be wearing a shirt with a pig on it.  Which is part of why I will most definitely be looking for another job to take its place.  Is that terribly vain of me?  Maybe so...

In other news, for those of you doing the Siesta Scripture Memory, happy February 1st!  What verses are you working on?  You can find mine here :)

  1. Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and weighed the heavens with his palm? who hath poised with three fingers the bulk of the earth, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? Who hath forwarded the spirit of the Lord? or who hath been his counselor, and hath taught him?
With whom hath he consulted, and who hath instructed him, and taught him the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and shewed him the way of understanding? Behold the Gentiles are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the smallest grain of a balance: behold the islands are as a little dust.

    Isiah 40:12-15

THIS is what is in my heart. Thank you for coffee... I understand what you mean by following your heart.

  3. I think the best part is that you are *finding* your dream. Far too many people settle for less, for fear of the journey. And I'm so glad you found encouragement along the way.
