As of Late

lately...I've been apartment hunting.  Found the perfect place...1.6 miles from my new job AND, the best part... I'm going to have a craft room!!!

lately...I've been packing, packing, & more packing, oh & painting, painting, & painting.

lately...I've just wanted to hop on a plane so I can go see my Chloe friend & hold that little baby!

lately...I've been amazed at how quickly & perfectly things can come together.

lately...I'm getting excited about this wedding!

lately...I'm SO grateful for this girl.  I was SO stressed the other day about everything I had to get done in just a few days, so she came over & went through boxes with me & helped carry them out of the attic.  Would've taken me a whole day to do that job.

lately...I'm tired of my room being a complete MESS trying to pack & organize everything.

lately...I feel like I've neglected my blog & shop, but out of necessity.  I promise once I get moved, things will be normal again.

Life Update:

today: my cousin's high school graduation

tomorrow: Cait's bridesmaids' luncheon, rehearsal, & rehearsal dinner

Saturday: signing final apartment papers, parents moving me in, wedding, moving the rest in

Sunday: getting settled

Monday: starting new job

As of Late

lately...I've been trying some new things.

lately...I've seen [literally, in numbers] God's provision.

Exhibit A:

dentist appointment, $171.  Same week, sold several paintings, adding up to $175.

Exhibit B:

car insurance, $325.  Same week, unexpected babysitting + sell of another painting, adding up to $340.

Coincidence?  I think not.

lately...I've been hopeful.  Several responses to applications, interviews, etc.  Nothing yet, but just a glimmer of hope makes me feel better.  In this whole job search, I bet I've applied for over 100 jobs & heard back from maybe 5.  It's not that I'm not qualified, or that I'm doing something wrong...people just aren't hiring.

lately...I've LOVED being able to wear shorts & a t-shirt.  And I cannot wait until this weekend when I can officially wear my white shorts & white skirt!  Yes, I follow those rules.  I just can't help it.  My grandmother's to thank for that.

lately...I've been in need of a new journal.  That was today's project.  And I'm very happy with it :)

 

lately...I've decided I need to start watermarking photos.  Which annoys me.  But after I read this post, it doesn't annoy me all that much.

lately...I've done a bit of rearranging.  Moved my "mini studio" into my room & I really like it here.  Not as much as I'll like it when it's a mini studio in my own house or apartment & is not crammed into my bedroom.

As of Late...

Lately...I've been SO excited about warm weather.  I get this way every Spring.  I have to roam around outside & take pictures nearly every day

Lately...I'm drinking a lot more coffee.  Proud, Cait?  Plus I just discovered Chocolate Raspberry creamer & I love anything raspberry.  (Wal-Mart brand!...who would've imagined it'd be so good?  I'm really lucking out with off brands lately.)

Lately...I just want to paint 24/7.  I've always enjoyed anything artsy...but not like this.  God is doing some amazing things through this.  He knew that opening a shop was just the encouragement I needed right now, & He is showing me so much through it.

Lately...my playlists revolve around Passion: Here for You & Francesca's Hundred More Years, with a few random old songs thrown in there that I've re-discovered.

Lately...I've been having Friends marathons with myself just about every night.  They just make me laugh so much.  And watching the early seasons is like meeting up with old friends.  Some of my favorite quotes of the ones I've seen lately:

Lately...I've really been needing wanting to go shoe shopping.  I did get a pair at Target the other day that I've been wanting...on sale for $12.  But, I've decided this is the summer that I finally need to get some Rainbows.  And the thing about shoe shopping: it never puts me in a bad mood like other shopping can.

Lately...I've been feeling bold.  Or maybe the better word for it is sassy.  And I like it.

As of Late

Lately...I've been working on a little project that I can't wait to show you!

Lately...I feel like such a book worm.

Lately...I've become the knitting queen princess [the queen title belongs to this girl].

Lately...I've loved this warmer weather.

Lately...I've made some big life decisions.

Lately...I've realllly wanted a place to decorate.

Lately...I've loved Psalms.  I mean even more than I usually do.

Lately...I've felt summer calling my name.  Every time I listen to Francesca Battistelli.  For some reason, her album just makes me feel like rolling the windows down. 

 Lately...I've been playing a lot of Mexican Train Dominoes.  I kind of love it.

Lately...I've loved being back with my Bible study girls.  And have also really missed my old Bible Study with these girls:

Lately...I've been crafty.  More on that later.

Lately...I've been encouraged by complete strangers.  I love that.

as of late...

lately, I've been dreaming of a little place of my own to decorate.

lately, I've felt, more than ever, the overwhelming peace that God knows.  He knows my life, He knows where I am & where He'll have me 6 months from now.  even when I feel clueless, He knows.

lately, I've felt so encouraged by people who are basically strangers...that includes some of you, my bloggy friends.

lately, I have felt the need to read more.  I don't mean more as in quantity...but more as in different books from what I usually read.  I'm bad about getting stuck on one author, or one series & not reading anything else.  I'm breaking that habit!

lately, I have "itchy feet," as Beth Moore would say.  I want to go somewhere.

lately, I've been longing for New York.  I always do, actually.  but I just really need to go.  It all started when I was going through my phone & deleting numbers I didn't need.  then I saw "NY Michael"...aka, the driver we've decided we love & will call every time we go.  I think I miss him.

lately, I've been having a hard time with running.  I still do...but running on a treadmill [I decided I really am just not meant to run in cold weather] is just not the same.  that's what I'm blaming it on.  I haven't run very far at all.  not that I ever was...but I tried.  advice?  maybe I just need to sign up for another 5k...would that help?

 lately, I've been so thankful for the people around me.  I am so blessed to have so many encouraging people filling my ears with the words I need to hear.
