Ok. Time to catch up. Finally.
one. Resurrection Tunes
First, I need to share my Easter playlist. Just because I think it's that great.
two. Secret Church
I so want to be able to tell you about this, but I don't even know where to begin. I mean...6 hours of teaching + a 147-page book of notes & filled-in blank...no idea how to even give you my thoughts in a nutshell. So basically, just know that it was great, & I'll probably be referring to it for a long time.
three. Easter Weekend {in photos}
I've said before how much my grandmother loves her flowers. She also lovvves when her grandchildren are there to do outside work...hauling off branches, painting all the outdoor furniture, cleaning the front porch (& I mean cleaning...know anyone else who mops their porch???), etc.
I think this is one of the greatest pictures of my brother :)
honeysuckle!
four. Yard Work Leads to Shopping
Even after I've explained to my grandmother that families help each other out simply because they love each other, she insists on paying the boys for working & taking us girls shopping. So...Monday was a very successful shopping day for my favorite shopping posse.
five. Tornadoes
Last Thursday night is when storms hit us. It was bad here, & we had nothing compared to other places. Thankfully, non one was hurt...just a lot of damage. Of all my family in town, only my great-grandfather's house was hit. I think every tree in his yard is down (with the satellite still standing amidst all the fallen trees, oddly enough), but he is safe. At 97 years old, I think he's enjoying watching the commotion of it all being cleaned up. Gives him some entertainment every day.
Remember to pray for those who were not so lucky. So many families in Alabama & North Georgia are out of homes & have lost family members & friends. This has to be one of the scariest, most helpless feelings.

Where does my help come from?

six. Mother/Daughter Weekend
I adore these friends. You know that. But when I'm away from them, sometimes I don't realize just how much I miss the days when we lived within feet of one another.
When I'm with them, I'm constantly reminded of how much they know my heart. I'm more me with them than anyone else. They've seen me at my best & worst. And our families are so different, yet so foundationally (is that a real word?) alike. Our moms all know each other & have met several times, but have never spent much time together. This weekend it was like they'd known each other as long as us girls have. Beautiful. And I love that we can do this:
simply be together without having to entertain or be entertained. I love that.
seven. Radical
I promise...I haven't forgotten. I'll put my notes from our last Bible study up tomorrow & just combine it with this week. I so love hearing from so many or you who are reading or have read.
Adios for today, friends.
P.S. Remember to enter the giveaway here.
