So, you know the scene in Armageddon (one of my favorites) at the very end when Liv Tyler is talking to her dad (Bruce Willis) & he's telling her that he has to break his promise & that he's not coming home because he has to stay to detonate & destroy the asteroid so it doesn't destroy Earth? She reminds him of when she told him she didn't want to be like him, and admits that she is like him, but that everything good inside of her, any good quality that she possesses, comes from him.
Anyway...I got to thinking about it the other day. Every good thing about me is God. Genesis 1:27, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." Anything good about me is because I am made in His image. The good, the beautiful, the the worth, the joy in me...it's all Him.
So, while we all have bad hair days or "ugly days," or those rainy days where our hair looks like you stuck your finger in an electrical socket instead of plugging in the actual hair dryer (or maybe that's just me...), who are we to believe for even one second that we are anything less than beautiful? Beautiful because our Creator is beautiful.
