The Gentle Whisper

I ran across this this morning...one of my favorites.

The Lord said, "Go out & stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by." Then a great & powerful wind tore the mountains apart & shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper." -1 Kings 19:11-12

I love this...sometimes we look for God only in the big things. We expect big signs or obvious direction, but it's not always that way. I think more often God is found in the little things, the soft whispers, the things that we would never notice if we weren't looking & listening for them.
