My Day (in Photos)

I had a rather perfect day today.

[Disclaimer: notice the title.  Lots of photos.  And somehow I left my camera at home.  So all of these are on my phone...not great, but they get the point across.]

1: I slept in a little, woke up & laid in bed for awhile & caught up on my blogs.  You have no idea how much of a weight was lifted off my shoulders to see a "0" next to all of my blogs on bloglines.

2: I made a stack of a bunch of books for my dad to sell on Amazon.  So long, boring books...it's good reading from here on out!

3: Went to Athens, met my brother, did some shopping for Mother's Day.

4: Saw the world's worst headband.  In case you can't tell, it's a tiny top hat with some embellishments.  It looks like something a circus monkey would wear to a funeral.  [See what a terrible picture this is?  I blame it on the headgear...not at all the fact that I didn't shower today & did nothing to my hair & needed some lipstick on.]

5: Turned away from the ugly headband & sought refuge in Target where I bought this one :)

6: And these cute earrings [McKinlie was wearing them at church on Sunday & I just had to have them.]

8: Then went straight to my aunt's & uncle's to keep some of my favorite kiddos.

9: Within the first five minutes Ada Klair was sitting in Annabelle's seat, got stuck in it, & asked, "Lindsey, does this mean my bottom's fat?"  Nope, it's perfect...you're just a bit big for a chair made for an infant.

10: After dinner, we had ice cream.  My aunt had been to the grocery store & we each had our own tiny little container of Ben & Jerry's.  [Knowing me so well, mine was Strawberry Cheesecake :)  According to Ada, she had "brown ice cream & everyone else's was just white."

11: I love spending the little everyday moments with them.  Like this.  [Abel after bath time.]

12: And this.  [Ada brushing her teeth...with strawberry toothpaste...I'd never heard of that.]

13: Before bedtime, we did some coloring.

14: I drew a picture for Addi Kay & minutes later, had a replica.  She's a little prodigy, if I do say so myself.

15: Side note, Abel is cRaZy about me these days!  He's always liked me...but lately, he talks to me nonstop, I get lots of kisses, he's calling my name every other second...I even colored him a picture of a dinosaur & he slept with it.  [Also, his preferred look in pictures is eyes closed & tongue out.]

16: And the best part of the night: bedtime prayers.  They're always very entertaining in this house.  Addi Kay, for example, prays for everyone in the world experiencing any sort of emotion: "happy, sad, embarrassed, lonely, ashamed, funny, boring, interesting," etc.  Seriously.  All of these have been present in her prayers at one point in time.  Tonight though, Ada stole the show [yes, the show.  I think God is definitely entertained by these, so I feel ok about calling their prayers a show.].  "Dear God, thank you for Mommy & Daddy even though they done left me here tonight.  It's ok though because Lindsey's with me & we love her."

I could spend every single day like this & be perfectly happy.  :)

And one more thing...I think the new things I got from my friend Target would look great with something from the vintage pearl if I win this great giveaway at Living by Faith.
