1. Birthdays are...fun. Yes, that's my sentence. My English degree is doing great things today, right?
2. My favorite birthday memory was...last year. My birthday is always during Recruitment (Rush), so it's really hectic. I was one of the night chair's this year, so that night was especially stressful & busy. I ended up not getting home until around 1 or 2 am & several of my friends were there to celebrate. AND I got Crazy Core Skittles. And a cute coffee mug. And a HUGE Strong's Concordance. It was great.
Another favorite (because I can never settle for just one) was my 21st birthday. We didn't get to celebrate until several weeks after my birthday, but Em was taking me to meet Case & Beth at Cheesecake Factory. We dawdled around, went shopping to find Em some shoes, etc...& then ended up in traffic for.e.ver. I couldn't figure out why it was stressing Em out so much...it was just Case & Beth waiting & there were places to shop around there...no big deal, I thought. Turns out there were a lot more than 2 people waiting on us. :)
3. I birthday tradition I (or my family) have (has) is...I got a "birthday girl" from my grandmother every year until I was...18? And I got a graduate one. And I'll get one when I get married.
My grandmother helping me open my 1st birthday girl.
This is the grandmother who gives me the birthday girls.
4. If I had one birthday meal to eat for the rest of my birthdays hence forward, it would choose...Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang's, or Melting Pot.
5. My birthday is on...January 18.
6. If I could take a birthday trip I would go...all over Europe. Particularly to the Cotswalds in England, to Jane Austen's grave, to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle at midnight, to the Louvre, to Florence, & lots of little coffee shops.
7. The best gift I've ever received for my birthday was...something really great that I can't name because I could never decide on one thing.
me & my dad on the day I was born
me, Mama, Daddy, & Amy (my only cousin then...weird) on my 1st birthday.

2. you left out the part about spending the day in the hospital with me ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were born.
You know what? That thought didn't even cross my mind...so it must not have been that tragic. You're walking on 2 legs again & I totally forgot that I spent my birthday in the hospital...
ReplyDeleteSo I'm on the wrong account, but I just had to say that another reason you need to move here is that I work 30 seconds walking distance from PF Chang's AND The Cheesecake Factory. They're actually right across the street from one another. :]
