your parents
My mom taught for almost 20 years before she quit teaching to open her toy store. Now the store is a little over 3 years old & she's gone back to teaching (that's why I'm running the store). She is the only one that gets all my jokes, movie/TV/book references. She is funny (but I don't like for her to know it), fun, wise (she doesn't like it when people tell her that) smart, & is the best example to me that I could ever ask for.
My dad is a banker, though his real job (in his mind), is the volunteer fire department...he's the fire chief. I think he likes it because it means dashing out when his beeper goes off. I think he secretly imagines himself with a cape & an "S" on his chest. He can do anything, build anything, fix anything...sometimes to the point that it's frustrating. He is the first to jump on board to help anyone, & he is where I get my heart for missions.
you know, I've never really thought about it before but I bet you're right, I think he does picture himself with a superman cape and a big S. I'm pretty sure my dad has one to match...
