miscellany monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

{one} These past few days have been full of exciting news.
a. this girl is having a baby!
b. this family (here & here) has a sweet new China baby in their arms tonight.
c. this girl has big news.  that everyone finally knows but it has not been blogged yet.  & I feel it proper blogiquette, if you will, not to say what it is before she blogs it.  but it involves this:

{two} This weekend my brother is going from Athens to Jacksonville for the Georgia/Florida game.  On a bike.  As in bicycle.  He has not been on a bicycle in years.  By this I mean, he has not been on a bicycle in years...no practice, no warming up, no preparation, no training.  They're doing this to raise money for summer missions.  Really cool.  And I'm really proud of him for doing it.

{three} I ran 2.5 miles without stopping today.  That's a sentence that I never thought would come out of this mouth.  Usually in reference to running, you'll only sentences like this from my mouth: I HATE RUNNING.  No longer.

{four} Anyone "use" (is it really any real use other than to cure boredom?) Stumble Upon?  I've found some pretty cool things lately.  Look for a really random post about it one of these days.

{five} I added another pumpkin recipe to my repertoire this week: pumpkin milkshakes.  Don't doubt it until you've tried it (that means you).

{six} I've been watching lots of The Office lately.  Last night I watched "The Job" episode of season 3.  This is the one that ends with Jim asking Pam out on their 1st date.  I got so excited & jumped up to put in the next disc, only to realize that I don't have that season (the best one).  So sad.

{seven} Have I said that I think Taylor Swift & I would be bff in real life?  Because I do.  I know many would argue about my love for her, but I don't even care.  Her music, lyrics, & especially her sparkly dresses just make me happy.  And I really need her new cd as soon as I have some money that I feel I can spend frivolously.  Not that buying a Taylor album would be frivolous.  At all.

  3. I found a pumpkin milkshake recipe, too! I can't wait to try it although I know it's going to totally railroad my diet. And I'm still in the "I hate running at all costs" phase, but good for you for starting! Found you via MM - have a great week!
