miscellany monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

1. just dance.
I spent Friday evening with these 2 cute girls.  When I got to their house, this is the dress Addi Kay was wearing just for the fun of it.  Naturally, that led to dancing.

2. Y-H-C

We had a great weekend in  Young Harris. Loved getting to see Jessie cheer & see the campus & her room.  Great to be able to picture where she is now.  And the place we stayed was beautiful...great room, great views, a huge fireplace inside & fire pit [complete with s'mores!] outside.

3. black bean soup
You know I could eat Mexican every day of my life.  Well, this little place Jess took us to Saturday night had the best soup I've ever tasted.  Had black beans, pico de gallo, & sour cream & tortilla strips on top.  Anyone have a recipe that sounds similar?
4. reading
Right now I'm reading Julie by Catherine Marshall.  Read this sentence last night & fell in love.
Sometimes I wondered how & when this dream had started.  For as far back as I could remember, the sound of words, the reading of stories, even the handling of books had not been merely a delight - it had been irresistible enchantment.
5. "I love when my friends are friends."
Common phrase for me.  Like last week when I found out that Kristian Stanfill & Dave Barnes are touring together.  I love when my friends are friends.  And then right after I read that part of my book last night, the main character goes on to say why she loves writing, crediting L.M. Montgomery, one of my favorite authors.  I love when my friends are friends.

#106. friends that are like family.
#107. mountains.
