{book review} Summer at Tiffany

I know I've mentioned this book a few times lately, but I just need to tell you about it.  I loved it.  every little thing about it [except one, but I can't tell you because it's at the very end].

this is why I loved it:

one. it was set in New York.  my fave.

two. not only was it in New York, but much of the book was set at Tiffany...need I say more?

three. New York + Tiffany + 1945.  I love how the two girls in the book lived in such a time of glitz & glamour.  I pictured it like this:

four.  the couple celebrated VJ Day in Times Square.  I especially loved this part.

five. I learned things.  I didn't know that on a foggy night in 1945, an army plane hit the Empire State Building.  is this something most people know that I somehow missed?

loved it.  read it.  let me know what you think.

#102. an imagination.
#103. old movies, books, fashion, etc.
#104. city lights.
#105. inheriting my grandmother & mom's love for reading.

  3. Okay so the pictures you put up alone make me want to read the book! And I definitely did NOT know that the Empire State Building was hit by a plane! Good thing it didn't happen when Josiah proposed up there! :-O

Adding this to my list....that's growing, never shrinking. Sigh.
