fill-in-the-blank friday

{1} my favorite quote is... yeah right...a favorite...here are a few favorites:

Endurance is not just the ability to beat a hard thing, but to turn it into glory.
William Barclay

God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.
John Piper

Compassion is sometimes the fatal capacity for feeling what it is like to live inside somebody else's skin.  It is the knowledge that there can never really be peace & joy for me until there is peace & joy for you too.
Frederick Buechner

{2} a bad habit I have is... blogging when I should be doing other things.

{3} the first time I felt like a "grown up" was... anytime I pay for something that isn't tangible.  doctor visits, student loan, insurance, etc.  & tires...that's tangible, but it sure does feel like you're paying a bunch of money for something you don't even notice.

{4} weekends are... for fun.  I don't want to lay around at home on the weekend...I want to go out & DO something.  or maybe that's just this week because I've been home all week...

{5} when I was a child I wished my name was... anything that started with a K.  it was my favorite letter to write.  Kristy was my top choice because she was my favorite in the Babysitter's Club.

{6} I wish... travel was free.  I just want to go somewhere!

{7} a secret I have is... when I was a kid, I had my vitamins under the couch.  only the purple Flintstone ones...I liked the red & orange, but my dad wouldn't let me throw the purple ones out, so when he left the room, I hid them.  now they have those yummy gummy ones...bet they all taste good!

fill in your blanks at the little things we do!

happy Friday, everyone!
I'm off for a day of returns & exchanges & then to the Gym Dogs meet [happy birthday to me from my brother]!

  1. Love the quotes! Hiding vitamins part made me laugh! I used to hide my peas under my brother mashed potatoes during meal time prayers. I finally got caught though...

  2. Your blog is so cute! Love the babysitter's club flashback! My favorite was Claudia, cause she was kooky, artistic, and asian, like me! Haha!

P.S. My fill-in-the-blank "wish" was free traveling too:-)

I really like this...I may have to join in next week!

    Enjoy your weekend!
