miscellany monday

1. mental posts

do you ever write posts in your head?  I feel like I have a lot of those right now...great things to say that I just cannot seem to get into real words that make sense outside of my brain.  but...they're coming eventually.  brace yourself, because they're coming whether they make it out in words that are "comprehendable" to normal people...or just me.  :)

2. a life interrupted

I just started Priscilla Shirer's study on Jonah.  I'm loving it so far & it's exactly what I need right now.  you'll hear more about this later.

3. dear Cait,

I have not admitted this to you yet.  but now I am.  I've been practicing my wedding hair.  your wedding is not for 117 days, but I'm ready.  I even bought a new curling iron because by May 21, my hair is going to be long, flowing locks, which will need a bigger curler than what I had.  #confessionsofabridesmaid

4. knitting lessons

I'm re-learning to knit.  remember last week when I got Case to teach me?  I had it down pat.  until I was out of her presence & got all messed up.  [ok, actually I only thought I did...I was doing it exactly right & didn't know it.]  well, I had a [or several...] McKinlie lesson yesterday & am on a roll now!  not sure how good of a scarf it's going to be...but it will be completed...eventually.

5. book worm

lately I've been trying to break away from my normal reading patterns.  [normal = pretty much only Karen Kingsbury, Francine Rivers, or Erynn Mangum]  all of my previous obsessions are great & wonderful & I will continue to read them...but not only them.  I am SO bad about getting on a kick where I can only read one author, or one series.  I'm doing so much better though!  my current book & the last book I read were completely different!  so...now I'm taking suggestions.  & I need books that grab you right from the start.  if I have to wait until halfway through a book to get into it, I'll quit.  not something I'm proud of...just a fact.  so, bring on the suggestions!

7. giveaway

Michelle at living a life of love is doing a beyond fabulous giveaway.  I'd rather you not enter because I want a pair of TOMS...but considering the fact that I'm generally a nice person, I feel compelled to tell you about it.  :)
