one. Friday...
...night was the birthday party for 3 little cousins + an uncle. I handed the camera over to Elizabeth...so I mostly got things like this...but it made me so happy to see her SO excited about taking pictures.
I did eventually regain camera control for a few minutes.
two. Saturday...
...was spent with these two. First we painted.
Complete with a little color theory. Who says 6- & 9-year-olds don't need to know how to mix colors properly? And don't mind my color wheel & the fact that some colors are in the wrong place...we were just talking about complementary colors & how to make brown...
Finished products.
S: "Me & Julie could sell our paintings. Whatta ya say, Julie? Let's give it a shot. We could be artist-es. It's our dream.
J: "Shea, you know all canvases don't have the pictures already drawn on them...we'd have to be able to draw."
S: "Oh...nevermind."
three. Sunday...
...was rainy & cold. I'm so ready for spring, but I did enjoy wearing a dress that I bought at the end of winter & had only gotten to wear once. The little things make me happy. Plus there's just something cozy about a rainy Sunday afternoon.
four. Radical
This Wednesday I am starting Radical with my youth girls. I've already had Wednesday's Bible study planned for four days. With sheets to print & everything. So excited. Hope God will use this book to truly grow these girls, me, & the ones we all come in contact with.
five. shop update
things I'm working on right now:
{custom orders}
Alaska painting for a friend...almost finished.
"teach the world" (similar to this) for a certain "Miss Dodd".
one like this but bigger, also for a friend.
one with Isaiah 61:1, for the same friend. :)
{others in the works}
"anchor for the soul"...still working on...not satisfied with.
contemplating some that would be great for Easter.
one with Psalm 17:8...Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings.
I love when the pages of my journal are filled with things like this.
six. Something...
I have something more to say. But I can't quite get it into words yet. And it definitely deserves a whole post. Coming soon, if I can make my fingers type what's in my mind & heart.
