Happy 101

If there's one thing I love, it's a good blog award...especially a pretty one like this.  From my real-life/blogger friend/pen pal, Chloe at Tryin' to Throw My Arms Around the World...for this award I have to tell 5 things that make me happy & then pass the award along to 5 people.  So, here goes...

{1} photography

 

I just love it.  And editing...that's my favorite part.  I love trying to capture the beauty of everyday life.

{2} having paint all over me

I've been painting a lot lately & I always end up with as much (or more) paint on me as there is on the canvas...but it makes me feel like I've accomplished something anyway.  My latest project...

{3} a small town in the summer

Milkshakes at the drug store, shopping around the square, walks through the old cemetery (I promise I'm not weird, I just like it), church softball games, church picnics, etc...I just love it.

{4} a freshly-made journal

A whole notebook full of blank pages...it's just such a good feeling.  And let me clarify, I haven't purchased a journal since my freshman year of college...I got into making them & haven't stopped.  I have a whole shelf full.  It's a little ridiculous.  For example, my current one:

{5} time with my family

I have a big family.  15 first cousins.  On my dad's side, all girls except my brother & Abel (who turns 3 today!).  On my mom's side, all boys except me & my cousin Amy (just 6 months older than me).  Everyone on my dad's side lives within 10 minutes of me.  I'm the oldest, then my brother (19), & the rest are all 8 & under, so they're always fun.
