A Heart Abandoned

A Heart Abandoned.

That's the name of my blog. 

And until recently, I thought nothing about it really.  I thought long & hard when coming up with it in the beginning, & even tried on several others...but this was what I decided on.  Several times lately it's come to my attention that people who don't know where the title comes from could take it the wrong way & it could sound really glum & depressing.

I got this title from a the lyrics to "The Stand" by Hillsong (see below).  Arms high & heart abandoned.  It does not mean that I am alone...it means that I want my heart to so closely resemble His heart that it's no longer mine.  A heart abandoned to Him. 

My heart is the furthest thing from abandonment...in it is joy, hope, love, faith, belief, happiness, peace, music, encouragement...& Jesus.

You stood before creation
