miscellany monday

1. preparing for snow

yesterday when I got home from church, I put on my "preparing for snow" attire.  pretty sure wearing this is the equivalent of doing a snow dance.

2. snow day!

this is what I saw when I opened my eyes this morning :)

& then a little later, I ventured outside.  but then it was sleeting & I didn't want my camera getting all wet...plus it hurt my face, so I went back inside.

 now I plan on spending the rest of the day either in a hot bubble bath or in my bed with a book [currently reading Choosing to See by Mary Beth Chapman & loving it] or some seasons of Friends on dvd.

4. recruitment

this Friday, I'm headed to Dahlonega for Alpha Gam's recruitment weekend!  I can only stay for Friday & Saturday, but am still so excited to see my girls!

 

5. birthdays

I can only stay in Dahlonega though Saturday because Sunday we're going to my grandparents' to celebrate mine & my grandmother's birthdays (hers is today!).

7. sunset

have you ever noticed that the best sunsets happen when you're driving & can't adequately photograph them?  always happens to me.  did again the other day...the pinkest sunset I've ever seen.  these pictures clearly do not do it justice since I was taking them on my phone while driving.  in real life, the sky was hot pink!
