First, [& probably the only thing of importance in today's post], I just read on Christy's blog about Ethiopian adoptions...they are reducing the number of adoption approvals each day to FIVE...that's a reduction of 90%. Click here to see more details & sign a petition. Also, if you don't follow Lauren's blog, you should read their story...they just brought sweet Tucker home from Ethiopia.
A few things a note so much lighter that it should probably not be in the same post...
one. New Passion album is incredible. Get it. My favorites so far: Here For You, Waiting Here For You, All My Fountains, Spirit Fall, & Lord, I Need You.
two. I've recently discovered something that I feel necessary to tell you. I'm not a big dessert person. Ice cream or cheesecake gets to me...but, with a few exceptions, I don't care much about cake or cookies. One of those exceptions: the three words that make my taste buds begin a party like it's 1999: Girl. Scout. Cookies. However, in my house, it seems that every time I open a box to eat one, it's the last one, as well as the first that I've had. And it's not like Girl Scout Cookies come around everyday! These are delicacies that must be cherished! So...what do you do the other 11 months of the year? Solution: Clover Valley Cookies from Dollar General, $1.95 a box. Taste exactly like GSC (that's what the real fans call them). Need a Thin Mint, but the Girl Scots are long gone? Go for a mint thin. Real original with your names, Clover Valley. I present to you: Thin Mint & Samoa wannabes. [There are also other wannabes...these are just my go-to GSCs.]
Did I really just devote a good paragraph to cookies? Yes. Yes, I did.
three. Posted three new paintings to the shop today. I think this one is my new favorite...
four. Within about 5 minutes of listing this painting, Chelle tweeted me to say she wanted it, but didn't have internet right then & could I take it down. Love that. And it'll be my first online sale! Woo hoo!
Now I'm on to bigger things...like trying to get a haircut. These ends are not my friend.

Loving your art. So much.
ReplyDeleteThose are my go to cookies after the GSCs disappear!! Who knew Dollar General could do something so fab. (We have one about a mile from our house....we live about 10 miles from town and so we love that place!)
I love your pictures! I entered the giveaway on Chloe's site just yesterday! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I heard about Ethiopian adoptions earlier this morning. A good friend at church is trying to adopt and I have been praying for their future little boy. When I heard the news today I was so frustrated but signed the petition and forwarded it. I might have to go blog about it tonight...
in any case, definitely praying about the whole situation! And so many of my friends have raved about the new Passion cd! I will have to check it out!
your paintings are amazing!
