You might be a grown up if...

It was time for a more summery design.

New design, new button.
Take if you like [---->], but don't feel like you have to keep up.  I know I can get a bit ridiculous about changing...but it's just because I love to do it!

Now, on to bigger & better things.

Like the ways that I feel like a "grown up" recently.

You might be a grown up if...

...you vacuum because you're excited to use the new vacuum, not because the floor is dirty.

...you rejoice over finally getting to use the new Paula Deen cookware you got for Christmas!

...one of the most exciting things in your week is when you save a whopping 20 cents per gallon on gas, thanks to Kroger.

...you wake up at 7 on a Saturday out of habit (though I'm still trying to blame that on the sun coming in my window).

...you sit by the pool reading Southern Living & drinking water from your Tervis when everyone else there is dressed skimpily (is that a word?) & smells strongly of alcohol.

On the other hand, you might not be a grown up if...

...you quickly develop a severe addiction to Netflix, watching more than an entire season of Army Wives in one weekend.

...you take a wrong turn & end up at Sonic, deciding that's God's way of telling you that you need a strawberry limeade chiller (aka, the best drink known to man).

...you have to ask for directions three times at church.  Yes  AT church, not to get TO church.  Granted, it is a ginormous church.

Even though I feel more grown up now that I have a full-time job & live by myself & pay for everything, I still don't feel grown up.  I don't think you get to a magical age where you become an adult, but if you do...24 isn't it.

  1. these are so funny! i got a lot of responsibilities early in life that put me in the positiong of being an "adult" but i didnt really warm up to it until 25. i dont know, something just clicked. now at 26 i really miss 25. but although ive embraced adulthood, i still feel young and vibrant inside! :)
