Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

one.  This was my weekend.  Live Love weekend at FUMC LaGrange.  Had fun with the youth & was so impressed with Ryan & Case, who did such a great job organizing all of this & putting it all together.

two. Was not a huge fan of this.  And was glad I was not staying at the house with my small group girls.  Rats are not particularly my friends.

three.  I especially loved the worship art.  Melissa & Tiffany {Yadah Art} painted during the music, & it was really cool to see it come together, & talk to them about what each part of the painting stood for & why they chose it.

four. Saturday included a little mission project for the youth.  We worked with Stop Hunger NowSuch a cool organization.  In a matter of hours, we were able to package food for 10,000 to be sent to third-world countries.  Part of what I loved about this was that everyone had a job...& that's hard to come by with teenagers on a mission site.  There was no time that I looked around to see youth standing around with nothing to do.  Everything was so well-organized.  It was also very explained in a very tangible way...I can't remember all of the numbers exactly, but they said that there is enough food in the world for everyone.  No one should go hungry.  As Americans, we eat 2 pounds of food a day at the most.  And there is enough food in the world for everyone to have 4 pounds a day.  The problem isn't with our resources...it's with the distribution.  God didn't put people in a world where there needs could not be met...this is where we come in.

five. Loved coming home to a package from Colo at Letters from Coco.  If you haven't checked out her etsy shop, you definitely need to.  I love every single thing she has & these flowers are even better in person than they are when I'm drooling over them on her site.  Thanks, Cole...I adore them!

six. As of today, I'm working with a local photographer on some advertising stuff...Facebook, twitter, & soon-to-be blogging.  I love that this is work...& will one day be paid work :)

seven. My favorite part of today: what dear Beth Moore had to say this morning in my devotional {Breaking Free Day by Day...love it.}.  It's all good...but I'm just going to show you a little piece of today's.

"Though the mountains move & the hills shake, My love will not be removed from you."
Isaiah 54:10

He is not only the answer to a thousand needs but also a thousand wants.  He is our chief desire in all of life.  Oh, God, awaken our souls to see - You are what we want, not just what we need.  Yes, our life's protection, but also our heart's affection.  Yes, our soul's salvation, but also our heart's exhilaration.  Unfailing love - a love that will not let us go!

eight.  Had this thought this weekend: as if it weren't enough that Jesus willingly died for us, He loves us enough that He's continually pleading our case before the Father [1 John 2:1].  Pretty cool.

#115. thankful that my friends have such Godly husbands who love & care for them.
#116. a love that I can't even begin to fathom.
#117. genuine worship.
#118. a God who created so many outlets for worship.
#119. encouragers.
